Shift conference 2014 June 02-06

Applications are now open for Shift Challenge, a startup contest to be held this June in Split, Croatia. The total prize fund is $ 15,000 - the best startup will snag $ 10,000, the second best $ 3,000 and the third best $ 2,000!

If this sounds good, wait till you hear who’s going to be judging your final pitch! Startups will have the unique opportunity to pitch in front of the best of the best, including: Y Combinator, Techstars, Entrepreneur and The Next Web. This could be your chance get on the list of successful companies that made it big thanks to Y Combinator and Techstars - such as reddit, Airbnb, Dropbox (Y Combinator) or Filtrbox, IntenseDebate and SendGrid (Techstars).

Here are the names of the judges that could launch your career and change your life! They are also a part of the speaker lineup for Shift Conference 2014:

Justin Kan has been a part-time partner at Y Combinator since 2011, and was announced partner in March 2014. Justin Kan is the founder and CEO of Exec and founder of Justin.tv, one of the world's largest live video sites, where he is currently a director and advisor. 

Semyon Dukach is the new managing director at Techstars Boston. Semyon is also a fast-rising angel investor, the former CEO and current chairman of e-mail marketing firm SMTP, and a former leader of the famed MIT blackjack tea.

Amy C. Cosper  is Editor-In-Chief and Vice President at Entrepreneur Media, Inc. She oversees content and partnerships for the media magazine and online properties, including Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur.com, and WomenEntrepreneur.com.

Patrick de Laive is co-founder of Twittercounter, Paydro and initiator of The Next Web Conference and Bowlr. He is also advisor to pr.co, the fast growing Software-as-a-Service PR suite with tools to publish, distribute and track your PR efforts.

All interested startups can apply on the official website of Shift Conference http://shiftsplit.com/challenge. Applications are open till May 4, 2021 and if you're selected as one of the top 32  startups, we will notify you no later than May 12. The first round of pitching, preceded by intense one-on-one mentoring sessions, will take place on June 4 (this part will be closed to public), and 16 lucky finalists that make it through that day will have the opportunity to pitch during the Shift Conference, on June 5 & 6.
